‘The Facebook Rave’ was performed by BESS in the Crypt Gallery in London, January 2017, as part of the group exhibition ‘MEMEME’, curated by Yarli Yaryaryar and Ismene King.
This is an excerpt. The performance duration was 45 min., and integrated with the otherwise buzzy atmosphere of the actual exhibition room.
Interwoven voices replayed directly from the facebook realm, digitally translated and picked out activity from her personal correspondances. A patchwork sound landscape giving the half absurd sense of the digital platform translated to sound and feeling.
